Prepare your substrate: The wall on which you are going to hang your wallpaper must be sound, dry, clean and smooth. Choose your undercoat carefully, and we advise you to use the paint suggested in the product data sheet to obtain the best rendering.
Position the first square: Starting from the end, draw a vertical line with a pencil the height of the square, adding 5 mm (this offset of a few millimetres will avoid the line becoming visible where the squares join). This line will serve as a reference for aligning the squares. For matte-finish squares, spread the glue evenly on the wall to the width of the first square, and for washable-finish squares, spray the wall and the square with water.
Gluing the squares: Using a trowel, wallpapering brush or your hands, start gluing your square. Follow the previously marked vertical alignment. Carefully sweep the entire surface, from top to bottom and from inside to outside, to eliminate air bubbles. Repeat the operation for the next squares. At the seam, press gently with your index finger on all edges of the square to press the wallpaper firmly against the wall. At the baseboards and ceiling, adjust the square with the wallpapering spatula. As a guide, use the trimming ruler to cut away any excess paper.
