Behind a double door lies an apartment that favors boldness over prudence.
Step inside this Parisian apartment, designed in the colors of the new Modern Style collection.
Beneath the moldings, nothing is quite in its place, and that’s what makes it charming. The patterns echo each other from one room to another, the frames accumulate, the books take their ease. Modern Style , the new collection of wallpapers from Joli Jour Paris, traces a discreet thread: each paper gives its color to the room without ever imposing its law on the rest .
Follow us from room to room, from the entryway gallery all the way to the walk-in closet.
The dining room
Dinner in Midnight Blue
The living room is getting a makeover. The midnight blue and gold of a wallpaper featuring cream-colored bells frame an antique portrait. Beneath it, a leopard-print velvet bench with fringe adds warmth to the marble table.
Furniture & accessories: Leopard-print bench, round marble table, green velvet armchair, opaline pendant light.
The Living Room
Strolling among the paintings
Here, the walls take a back seat, letting the paintings, books, and patterns take center stage: a striped sofa, a diamond-patterned ottoman, an Oriental rug. Nothing matches, yet everything comes together harmoniously.
A deep red, flowers, and brass accents. The open shelves, marble, and brass lamp come together to create a kitchen where you’ll want to linger. The paintings and antique tableware fit right in here, just as they do in the living room.
A dark background, coral peonies, and blue-gray foliage. Above the bed, two panels depicting birds and family portraits give the bedroom the feel of an old house.
Deep green irises on a blue background, inspired by Art Nouveau, set against white earthenware and a green border. Everything is crisp, bright, and a little retro.
Furniture & Accessories: Metal console sink, brass mirror and wall sconces, white and green subway tiles
The Second Room
Reading Between the Lines
Black wallpaper with large sage-green leaves, cream swirls, and pink flowers. The room embraces the abundance: tulips, books, leopard-print pillows, and an olive-green throw.
We’ll finish with the most secluded corner: terracotta-colored wallpaper covered in white flowers, a rattan desk, and a leopard-print rug that extends the invitation set in motion at the entrance.
